Moving Pictures: Initial Development

Using the same process I began with my rough animation I further developed my animation. I chose to desaturate the animation as it panned downwards in an attempt to give it a old fashioned movie feel. However I felt this wasn't enough so using self made textures I created a transparent gif image that would act as a grainy substance which appears when the screen turns grey.

The animation still has a lot of work to be done on it however, such as making the aspects of inequality more obvious. To do this I found stock images of impoverished 1930's people to stand at the base of the scrolling animation. Hopefully between the sprawling skyscrapers and the poor people this will create the sense of inequality apparent.




I feel that at this point the main issue remaining with my animation is the lack of sound. This is something I'm going to have to research further.
