What is Composition? (Cont...)

Having producing 5 scamps with different compositional aspects using a subject, object and background I settled on the one I felt best displayed a good use of composition. The viewpoint is looking up, giving Dracula a menacing/powerful quality while the bedpost acts as an object which the viewer could be cowering behind. Finally the shrubbery outside the house is all pointing towards Dracula's head drawing the eyes to him.

I now feel as though I have a greater understanding of how an image should be arrayed.
