(My peer feed back)
Both of my feedback sheets mentioned pushing forward with the Maus related images, however I feel the pieces with the literacy addiction theme would work better for several reasons. I think I'll be able to create better imagery using them with a narrative arc, there is also a mild humour to it unlike the dark concepts involving Nazism. However, the Nazi images do include Maus strongly, if I don't use these going forward I would like to include a reference to Art Spiegelman's work another way.
In the afternoon we had a group discussion where we spoke about things that troubled us with our work thus far and brainstormed several different ideas. One thing that popped up was the realisation that our work not only could stray away from the 'A' format but could be a different shape altogether. I knew then that I could use my thought and speech bubble idea to a much more interesting effect. I could use them not only as a framing device but remove the 'A' format altogether. I created these during and after our discussion.
(More thought about framing)
